n.SKEP® Distribution Planning is the global planning solution for the Supply Chain network. It improves decision making and optimizes end product and component flows between the different sites of your network. n.SKEP® Distribution Planning supports decision-making processes like Master Plan, Sales and Operations Plan (SOP) and Distribution Requirement/Resource Planning (DRP). These simulation tools provide a proactive view of stocks or requirements allocation alternatives, both in product groups and on end products.

Optimizing

The optimization tools of n.SKEP® Distribution Planning offer requirements allocation alternatives taking into account the channel feasibility and finite capacities of the sites, optimizing overall costs (distribution, storage and production).

Supply chain channels are optimized depending on needs to be filled, available stocks, site production and storage capacities, overall costs and targeted service rate. Requirements allocation is optimized by the powerful algorithm of the n.SKEP® Sourcing Optimization solution.

Stocks (production sites, warehouses) are rolled out depending on requirements and on configurable push or pull roll-out strategies to receiving sites (customer, local warehouse, logistics platform).

Planning

n.SKEP® Distribution Planning allows a global planning of the logistics network. The solution controls end product and component flows between distribution sites and customers, from storage sites to production sites. The view of the logistics network can be configured by site, product, component, period, etc. Planning covers all flow types; customer flows like JMI/VMI, inter-site transfers and even supplier sourcing. These flows are differentiated by request priority (fixed, short-term, stock) and mode of transport.

Respected constraints integrate openings and channel priorities, deadlines and transport timetables, dispatch multiples and minimums, distribution in-process and freeze-outs, procurement and production; minimum and maximum stock levels and use-by dates on each site of the network.

Benefits:

  • Improvement of customer satisfaction:
less obsolescence, in time deliveries, due-date compliance, etc.

  • Increase your profitability:
by reducing costs (production costs, distribution costs, inventory costs, etc.)

  • Global network efficiency:
improve your visibility, improve internal and external collaboration, anticipation of
    production and sourcing needs
